After eight months of lockdown, Ajay Devgn is ready to don the Indian Air Force uniform as he steps out to resume work on Bhuj: The Pride of India. It is heard that the actor will be joining Sanjay Dutt, Sharad Kelkar and Ammy Virk this month for a 12-day schedule where they’ll be canning some action sequences and some dramatic scenes.
A trade source reveals that Devgn and director Abhishek Dudhaiya are currently setting the location for the shoot. Given the prevailing scenario, the production team is looking for a venue that meets their safety requirements. The final schedule is likely to begin after Diwali. Sanjay, who is currently in Dubai with his family, will fly down to participate after the festival. After Ajay finishes his portions at the end of the month, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi and the rest of the cast will be called up to the patchwork quilt. ”
Set during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, the period drama sees Devgn play as IAF Squadron Leader Vijay Karnik, who reconstructed the IAF airbase in Bhuj with the help of Sunderben Jetha Madharparya and 300 local women. Dudhaiya confirms the ongoing schedule, saying, “We look forward to getting back on set and having all the safety precautions in place.”
