Did you know that Rajkummar Rao was a drama teacher in Gurgaon before he became an actor?


Rajkummar Rao is all set to take on the role of a PT teacher for his upcoming movie Chhalaang which comes out on Amazon Prime Video, which has caused a buzz in the audience after the trailer’s release. The actor reveals how, before his acting career took off, he was a drama teacher at a school in Gurgaon.

The actor says, “The call center had just started in Gurgaon and many of my friends had joined the call center and I wasn’t really good with language.”

While considering a way to earn extra pocket money, he goes on to add, “So I thought, what am I supposed to do if everyone makes extra pocket money when I was in sophomore college? do what i like so i thought just went to the school called kv public school in gurgaon sector 14 – then i did play 1 time for their annual day function. i was there for 3 months then i focused on myself and learned . “

He adds why students love Rajkummar a lot, saying, “Students love me because we were about their age. There wasn’t really an age difference. So they treated me like a friend.”

The film, directed by Hansal Mehta, is produced by Luv Films and presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar. Produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, multi-faceted actor Rajkummar Rao and Nushrratt Bharuccha star in central roles alongside Saurabh Shukla, Satish Kaushik, Zeeshan Ayyub, Ila Arun and Jatin Sarna.

The film is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on November 13.
