It’s been a while since Shah Rukh Khan made his way to the celluloid, but after a hiatus of more than two years, the actor is all set to get back into action and on the sets. The first film in his future repertoire is tentatively titled Pathan from Yash Raj Films, directed by War fame Siddharth Raj Anand.
Deepika Padukone and John Abraham also play in this action potboiler. Like War, this film is also expected to explore the great side of filmmaking with opulent locations, stunning camerawork and unexpected twists. Abraham is touted as the antagonist of the story. Coming to release date now.
A report of Bollywood Hungama states that the creators are looking forward to a Diwali 2021 release. A source close to the portal said: “Shah Rukh Khan and Aditya Chopra are going a long way and most of the SRK-YRF movies have arrived over the Diwali weekend. Pathan will be no different. They are planning both the schedule and the post. production in a way that the film will release on Diwali next year. “
It added, “It will be one of Bollywood’s greatest action movies and what could be better than Diwali for this Dhamaka.” This movie happens to be part of the 50th anniversary announcement of Yash Raj Films. When one of the leading production houses in the country celebrates a golden anniversary, they have a promising lineup of films, and Pathan is one of them.
The other films that make up the line-up are Ajay Devgn’s Superhero franchise, Vicky Kaushal and Manushi Chhillar’s self-titled project directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. YRF’s other films include Shamshera with Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor, Jayeshbhai Jordaar with Ranvir Singh and Shalini Pandey, and Prithviraj with Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Manushi Chhillar.
Srk and Deepika have previously starred in films such as Om Shanti Om, Happy New Year and Chennai Express, while John and Deepika have appeared together in Desi Boyz and Race 2.
