The Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) has issued a new set of guidelines set by members of the film industry in view of the partial closure in Maharashtra till 30 April.
In view of the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the country, particularly Maharashtra, guidelines have been issued. In a press release, FWICE President, BN Tiwari, General Secretary Ashok Dubey, Treasurer Gangeshwar Srivastava, and Ashok Pandit along with Chief Advisor Sharad Shelar said, “The FWICE officials held a zoom meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister, Mr. Uddhav Thackeray. . FWICE has assured the CM that the industry will be responsible where the SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) of the COVID Guidelines is concerned. In coordination with the experts, FWICE has set guidelines that will allow everyone to be involved in pre-production, shooting and inclusion. Are. The post-production work has to follow. “
The release continued, “These guidelines will now be in force until 30 April 2021.” The guidelines are in addition to the SOP previously unveiled by the FWICE, as directed by the state government.
As per the new guidelines, shooting of crowd scenes and songs with large numbers of dancers will not be allowed. Wearing masks and continuous hygiene are mandatory in set offices, production offices and post-production studios. An FWNI monitoring team has been formed to regularly visit the sets and post-production studios to check that all guidelines are being followed. Any person or production unit will face disciplinary action if it breaks the rules or creates any obstacle in following the guidelines.
Further, the note states, “A complete lockdown will be followed from Friday 8am to 7pm Monday and thus, any shooting, setting, pre-production activities should be avoided during this period . Shooting is allowed from Monday to Friday. All members are advised to schedule their shoots as per the above permission. “
Last week several top performers tested positive for COVID-19, which is followed by Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan, Bhumi Pednekar and Katrina Kaif.
