Since the death of the multi-faceted actor Irrfan Khan on April 29, 2020, the wife of the late actor Sutapa Sikdar and son Babil Khan have been sharing precious photos and videos of their cherished moments with the deceased actor on their social media accounts. Recently, Babil took to his Instagram account and shared a throwback video with his parents.
In the video Irrfan walks with Sutapa with an arm around her. To enhance the romantic atmosphere, the couple begins to sing the legendary song Mera Saaya from the 1966 movie Mera Saaya. Irrfan then engages in funny teasing with his wife and asks her “Mera saaya ki tera saaya (your shadow, or my shadow?” Sutapa then tells him “Tera Saaya (your shadow)”.

“When a man is just born, he is weak and flexible. When he dies, he is hard and insensitive. When a tree grows, it is soft and pliable, but when it is dry and hard, it dies. Hardness and strength are of death Companions Pliancy and weakness are expressions of the freshness of being Because what is hardened will never win. “- Tarkovsky. Here’s to watch ‘Stalker’ with you three years ago for my first film essay, I’m now watching ‘Stalker’ for the final dissertation. I pause the movie from time to time, just like you did with me, to take it all in, you taught me then, now I’m teaching myself. Here’s for you , that never hardened, here for your forgiving, sensitive soul.
He had recently shared a photo where we can see Irrfan Khan switch roles and get behind the camera for a change. In the image, Babil is sitting by a lake while Irrfan clicks on him with a camera.
Recently, in an interview, Sutapa Sikdar had talked about her late husband, what are the qualities that made him an ideal husband and father, and how he spoiled her for life. She made a revelation and said, “Irrfan wasn’t material for the husband. No, he wasn’t.”
She added: “I sometimes tried to get him to ask for normal things like celebrating birthdays. But it didn’t work so red roses, dark chocolates, diamonds, Valentine’s Day etc. weren’t discussed. Have a grudge against him is He spoiled me for life His pursuit of perfection never settles me There was a rhythm he always saw in everything, even in cacophony and chaos, so I learned to sing and dance to the music of that rhythm even with my tone deaf voice and two left feet. “
Irrfan Khan, who debuted with a small role in Mira Nair’s Salaam Bombay in 1988, was known for his performances in Maqbool, The Namesake, A Mighty Heart, Paan Singh Tomar, Life of Pi, The Lunchbox, Haider, Gunday, Piku , Talvar and Hindi Medium, among others.
