Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut responded on Tuesday to a Twitter video claiming that Dharma Productions, Karan Johar’s production house, has reportedly littered a Goa village with biomedical waste after finishing a shoot with Deepika Padukone.
“The film industry is not only a virus to the moral culture of this country, but it has become very destructive and harmful to the environment, @PrakashJavdekar ji @moefcc see this disgusting, nasty, irresponsible behavior of so-called big production houses, pls help,” Kangana tweeted from her verified account, tagging Prakash Javadekar, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister and the ministry’s official Twitter account.

Kangana’s tweet came in response to a tweet from a user who shared a screenshot of a news headline claiming that Johar’s Dharma Productions allegedly littered a Goan village called Nerul with trash after finishing shooting for a self-titled movie starring Deepika Padukone .
The user also shared a video about trash and wrote, “Next time Karan Johar & Deepika Padukone pretends to care about the planet, remember they’ve thrown biomedical waste, including PPE from health centers and government hospitals, along the road in Goa . it must be previewed. Heavy fine and public shaming needed. “
