Rhea Chakraborty asks Bombay High Court to not quash case against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters for procuring medicines illegally : Bollywood News

Riya Chakraborty got bail earlier this month, after being arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on a drug charge. There are several investigations against the actress regarding the untimely death of her lover Sushant Singh Rajput. The actress has asked the Bombay High Court not to file a case against Sushant’s sisters Priyanka and Mitu. The sisters have asked the Bombay HC to dismiss the case and appealed to the court to ask the CBI not to take steps against them.

Six days before his death, the sisters of Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly purchased drugs which are banned under narcotics and psychotropic substance. According to an exchange of WhatsApp texts between Sushant and his sister, Priyanka Singh had allegedly advised him to take Librium, Mexito and Lonzep which are prescribed for anxiety and depression. The petition revealed that Drs. Tarun Kumar prescribes the medicine without taking any prior information about Sushant’s condition and mental health. As reported by NDTV, Riya Chakraborty said in the petition, “It is unfit that a medical practitioner would treat a patient with severe anxiety and other mental health issues without any consultation.”

The case will be heard on November 4 by a division bench of Justices SS Shinde and MS Karnik.
