Seema Khan on Nepotism: Actors from major film families didn’t make it, including my own husband

Fashion designer and wife of actor-producer Sohail Khan, Seema Khan was recently featured on the Netflix show Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives. The show revolved around the lives of Bollywood women, with Seema Khan as one of them.

In a recent interview, Seema spoke about the ongoing debate about nepotism and will be okay with her sons taking up acting. Speak against Hindustan Times, she said, ‘Talent must speak. We have actors in the industry who come from large families who didn’t make it, including my own husband. Nepotism doesn’t mean you’re going to make it. At the end of the day, you have to be sincere, keep trying. It applies to every area of life. That is the mantra that I also go by and tell my son too, whatever he does. “

She also talked about being on screen. “When I decided to do this show I was sure that whatever I do I will do 100 percent and make up nothing. I am not an actress and have never been in front of the camera in my life. Disheartening. The only thing was, I wouldn’t be insensitive to anyone, “she said.

“I’ll just say this a lot because it’s out there that whatever you see on the show is the absolute truth. It is what it is, that’s all I want to say about it, ”she added.

Fabulous lives of Bollywood women revolved around the daily lives of Bollywood women Maheep Kapoor (wife of actor Sanjay Kapoor), Seema Khan (wife of Sohail Khan), Bhavana Pandey (wife of Chunky Panday and mother of Ananya Panday) and Neelam Kothari (who is married to Sameer Soni), who have been friends for 25 years. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri make a cameo.

“Even when I spoke in my video diaries it was like talking to a friend. I was never prepared for anything. Everything was spontaneous. I had no opportunity to be nervous about the cameras coming into my house They did it aesthetically. They were sensitive to us, ”she added.

Seema says she felt like a child. “I was protected by all of them. The whole team has protected us all.”
