Vikrant Massey celebrated Durga Ashtami with actor fiancé Sheetal Thakur. He took to Instagram to share a photo of the festivities and wish fans. According to the rituals, they gave bhog to nine young girls. The post also gave a glimpse of their home. It seems the two are ravenous readers. We couldn’t help but notice their floor-to-ceiling bookshelf full of paperbacks and volumes. I think most of them are related to film and acting.
The ‘Chhapaak’ actor will next appear in 14 Phere, opposite Kriti Kharbanda. The project will mark Massey and Kharbanda to share screen space for the first time in the quirky, modern social comedy. Written by Manoj Kalwani and directed by ‘Udaan’ director, ’14 Phere ‘will hit theaters on July 9, 2021.
Although he has Haseen Dillruba and 14 Phere in the pipeline, Massey was announced last week as the lead of Santosh Sivan’s remake of the Tamil hit Maanagaram (2017). For the actor, the collaboration with Sivan is a dream come true. Vikrant shared his excitement in a mid-day interview, saying, “When I got the first call, for a day, I didn’t believe it was happening at all. I had a big smile on my face for a week because Asoka is one of those movies that I watch every time it airs on television. “
“Carrying his dream project evokes so much excitement in me. Now it is my responsibility to perform; it is an actor’s job today to be worth the time and money of his audience, no matter what screen size they are on. My movie budgets have changed, so the stakes have gone up, but I won’t change my approach to fully surrender to my character and director, Vikrant concluded.
