MUMBAI: Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has said that if Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray issues an order on allegations of corruption against former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh, he would welcome an inquiry.

In his letter, Deshmukh said there was no truth in the allegations against him and demanded an inquiry into the matter.

Former Mumbai Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh wrote a letter to Thackeray alleging that Deshmukh had “misbehaved” and asked suspended Assistant Inspector of Police Sachin Waje to collect ₹100 crore per month.
