Arvind Kejriwal calls on Center to allow COVD-19 vaccine for all ages

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today lauded the Centre’s decision to introduce all-day COVID-19 vaccine in April for people over 45 years of age.

He appealed to the central government to remove the provision of vaccinating only those above 45 years of age and to start vaccination campaign in all age groups.

Speaking at a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said, “I applaud the Centre’s decision to run the CVD Vaccination Center (CVC) on all days of April, both public and private. However, I urge the government to remove the vaccine clause only. I urge the Center to launch a large-scale vaccination campaign. “

He also appealed to the government to allow the vaccination campaign to be conducted in schools and community centers so that a large number of people could be reached.

According to the city’s health department, Delhi recorded 3,5994 fresh CVD-19 cases today, the highest daily count this year, and 14 more died of infections, bringing the death toll to 11,050, according to the city’s health department. Stands.

In the last few weeks, the positive rate in most cases has increased from 17 percent per day to 3.5.77 percent a day earlier.

“Secondly, the center has only allowed vaccination campaigns in public and private hospitals. I believe many people are still hesitant to go to a hospital today. I urge them to allow vaccination in schools and community centers so that a large number of people Can be reached, ”he said.
