MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Farnavis today lashed out at the Uddhav Thackeray-led government over the deteriorating Covid-19 situation in the state, saying Maharashtra has become a hotbed of infection.
Talking about the Covid-19 situation in the state, Devendra Fadnavis said, “This government is not bothering about the Covid-19 situation in the state. The way the cases are growing here has become central. I don’t. Understand what this government has done to control it. ? It’s time to innovate and not give speeches, “ANI reported.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued guidelines for effective control of Covid-19. The guidelines, which came into effect on April 1, called on MHA states and territories to implement the “test-track-treat” protocol and to establish control measures.
The ministry further said that governments should take all necessary measures to promote covid-appropriate behavior in the workplace and in public, especially in crowded places.
With 2,31,942 active coronavirus cases, Maharashtra still remains the most affected state. 22,47,495 people have been rescued from the disease and 53,589 people have died in the state
In the last 24 hours, 4 COs, 2,622 new CVD-19s, 23,907 recoveries and 2,275 deaths were reported in India in the last 24 hours, according to the Union Health Ministry. With this, the total number of cases in the country has been activated at 1,17,34,058 including 3,68,457 active cases and 1,12,05,160 recoveries. The death toll rose to 1,60,441.
