Gandhinagar citizen election will be held on April 18

Ahmedabad: Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections will be held on April 18 and votes will be counted on April 20, the Gujarat State Election Commission announced on Friday.

According to the SEC, the notification of election will be issued on March 27, the last date for submission of forms will be April 1 and the last date for withdrawal of forms will be April 5.

“The code of conduct has now come into force in Gandhinagar. A boundary exercise has been conducted and a decision has been taken to rotate the posts as per GMC rules. The final voter list for the GMC elections was published on March 4. It was published this month,” it said.

GMC was formed in 2010 and the first election of the first 32-member body was held in 2012.
