New Delhi : The government will sell 20 per cent shares of National Fertilizer Limited (NFL) and 10 per cent shares of State Chemicals and Fertilizers (RCF) through an offer for sale in the current financial year.
The Department of Investment and Public Asset Management (DIPAM) has invited merchant bankers among five girls to bid for the proposed share sale.
The government has 744.711 percent in the NFL and 755 percent in the RCF.
The NFL reported a profit after taxes ₹198 crore for the financial year 2020-21 and it has net assets ₹2,117 crore till September 2020.
The profit of RCF stands after the tax of 2012-201 fiscal year ₹208.15 crores and total value ₹3,186.27 crore as on March 2020.
At prevailing market prices, the sale of about 20 percent of NFL shares could bring about ₹500 crore, about ten percent of the RCF will collect ₹400 crore in the government treasury.
