Bengaluru : One would have hoped that Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said that she had a dream and an ideal-model in her life, but alas, it did not happen and she was quite clear about it.
“What was your dream when you were young, who was your role model to bring you to this position,” he was asked at an interactive session organized by the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC) here on Sunday. “Absolutely sweet question,” Sitharaman replied.
“But I’m also sure it wasn’t my dream. I just continued what I had done before and moved along the flow.” “I don’t think I chart any course in my life. Fate has taken me where I came before and where I am,” the minister said.
“Only I do better so that the people I have given responsibility to do not get frustrated and I do not want to disappoint the people of India,” Sitharaman added.
