BENGALURU: As the state prepares to vaccinate everyone above the age of 45 from today, Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar have applied for the vaccine.
Yeddyurappa tweeted warning people not to underestimate the dangers posed by covid, “Our protective cover vaccine against corona. Everyone over the age of 45 can get the vaccine today. Go to your nearest vaccination center and get the vaccine together. Get coronavirus.

Health Minister Sudhakar also tweeted, “Starting today, we will start vaccinating all citizens over the age of 45 and will have 5,000 vaccination sites across the state, including 550 private and 4,750 government facilities.”
The Karnataka health minister further added that 1.5 million doses were supplied to BBMP which was distributed at about 600 sites in Bangalore.
Karnataka received 4222 new cases, including two deaths in a single day on Wednesday.
