Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has declared all journalists as frontline workers, news agency ANI reported.
Orissa Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also declared the state’s working journalists as ‘frontline seaweed fighters’.
According to the state health department, 19 new Covid cases were registered in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, bringing the number to 5,755,7006 in the Covid positive case.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Thursday said that the vaccination campaign against Kovid-19 for people aged 18 to 45 in Madhya Pradesh would not start from May 1 as vaccines were not available.
Speaking at a press conference, the chief minister said the state government had spoken to both the country’s COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers – Serum Institute of India and Bharat Biotech – and was told that they would not be able to supply doses of the vaccine.
