Prime Minister Modi in Palakkad, Kerala

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed an election rally in Palakkad ahead of the Assembly elections in Kerala on Tuesday.

Strongly condemning the opposition parties in the run-up to the upcoming Assembly elections, Modi said the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government had betrayed the state just as Judas had betrayed Jesus Christ. He said, “Judas betrayed Lord Christ for a few pieces of silver. The LDF betrayed Kerala for a few killers of gold.”

Prime Minister Modi said that the steady match between the United Democratic Front (UDF) and the LDF in the forthcoming Assembly polls is going to reject Kerala.

Speaking at an election rally in Palakkad, Prime Minister Modi said, “The worst secret in Kerala politics for many years was the UDF-LDF friendly deal. Now, first-time voters in Kerala are asking – what is this match – fixing? . “

“I am here to seek your blessings for the Bharatiya Janata Party in the forthcoming state elections. I have come here with a vision that is freshly different from the current situation in Kerala,” the Prime Minister said, adding that the people of Palakkad have close ties with our party.

The last few years have seen major changes in Kerala politics, Prime Minister Modi said, adding that the move is being driven by the aspirations of the youth, especially the first-time voters in the state.

BJP’s chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming state assembly elections ‘Metro Man’ E Sridharan Palakkade welcomed Prime Minister Modi before his speech.

Elections to the 140-member Kerala Assembly will be held on April 6. The counting of votes will be held on May 2.
