New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wished Union Minister Smriti Irani a happy birthday and recalled her significant efforts to bring further changes in the textile sector and women’s empowerment.
On Twitter, Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Happy Birthday to Union Minister ৃতিSmritriniJit. She is making significant efforts to change the vital sector of textiles and further empower women. She can live a long and healthy life.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also wished Smriti Irani a happy birthday and wished her a long and healthy life.
“Amit Shah wishes Union Minister @ Smritirini Zia on her birthday. She can continue to work tirelessly for the betterment and progress of our nation. Praying for her long and healthy life,” Amit Shah tweeted.
Railway Minister Piyush Goel also wished Smriti Irani a happy birthday and said that he has made a tremendous contribution to the development of the Atmanirvar textile ecosystem.
“Happy birthday to my colleague, Minister Smriti Irani Jit. She has made a tremendous contribution to building the Atmanirvar textile ecosystem. She can continue to do commendable work for the empowerment of women and children,” she said.
Smriti Zubin Irani is a Minister in the Union Cabinet of India. She has been serving in the cabinet of the textile minister and has been the additional minister of women and child development in Modi’s second cabinet since May 2012. A prominent leader in the Bharatiya Janata Party, she is representing Lok Sabha MP Amethi at the meeting.
He won the seat in the 2012 Indian general election by defeating Congress leader Rahul Gandhi.
