The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday released its manifesto for the Assam Assembly elections in the presence of party president JP Nadda, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
Speaking on the occasion, Nadda said: “We have gained momentum of development. We are standing for a big leap. With these aspirations we have made our commitment to the people of 10 Assam.”

He further elaborated on the promise he made in the proclamation.
“We will build large reservoirs around the Brahmaputra to save excess water under the Brahmaputra Darshan to save people from floods. Financial assistance will be provided to more than 3 million eligible families. ₹3,000 per month under the Arunodaya project, ”Nadda said.
The BJP president also spoke on the controversial issue of the National Registrar of Citizens. He said the team would work with a revised NRC for Assam.
“We will protect genuine Indian citizens and identify intruders to ensure that Aham civilization remains safe. We will expedite the demarcation process to protect Assam’s political rights,” he said.
