According to the Union Ministry of Health, Maharashtra is among the ten states which accounted for 755.66 per cent of the country’s new COVD-19 cases and the five states accounted for 59.99 per cent of India’s total active cases. The state recorded the highest number of new cases in the last 24 hours at 67,468, the ministry said. It added that the highest number of casualties in the state in the last 24 hours was 5,567.

Meanwhile, 3,14,835 new CVD-19s and 2,104 deaths were reported in India on Thursday, including 22,91,7 active cases.
