Patna : At the behest of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the Bihar government on Sunday decided to give dignity to frontline workers of journalists receiving COVD vaccine on priority basis.
Non-accredited scribes, approved with the Department of Information and Public Relations at the state level and approved by district public relations officers from all print, electronic and web media, will be considered frontline workers for cancer, an official statement said here.
All of them will be given the Kavid vaccine on a priority basis, it said. The state government took this decision considering the important role that media personnel are playing in raising public awareness about the risk of high infectious diseases.
The Chief Minister has on various occasions acknowledged the services rendered to the mediapresses during the coronavirus epidemic and the risks involved in their work.
