The UP government will present the first paperless budget in the assembly today

LUCKNOW: The BJP government led by Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh will present the first paperless budget 2021 today. This year’s budget is the fifth budget of the Adityanath government in the state. Uttar Pradesh will be the first state in the country to present a paperless budget. State Finance Minister Suresh Khanna will present the budget at 11 am today. He will read the budget paper from a tablet.

Budget documents can be accessed from the UP Government’s budget app or website (http://budget.up.nic.in).

All members of the state legislature have been provided with iPads to view budget highlights that will also be available on the two large screens placed in the House.

The budget session began with a speech by Governor Anandiben Patel at a joint meeting of both the houses on February 18 at noon. The session will run until March 10.
